CloudSpeech Q&A
Your questions answered
Why isn’t my child making progress in speech therapy?
Many children plateau when therapy isn’t matched to the root cause of their speech difficulty. Older children with persistent errors—especially sounds like /R/ or signs of motor planning challenges (apraxia)—often need a more precise, individualized approach than what’s typically available in school-based or high-caseload settings. At CloudSpeech, therapy focuses on accurate diagnosis, targeted motor-based strategies, and consistent practice so children can finally make meaningful progress.
How is CloudSpeech different from other speech therapy services?
CloudSpeech is a boutique, clinician-led teletherapy practice. Families work directly with Christina—every session—rather than being passed between therapists. She specializes in supporting children ages 5+ with speech sound disorders, particularly residual articulation and childhood apraxia of speech. Sessions are highly focused, efficient, and designed for children who are ready to engage and benefit from individualized virtual care.
What does teletherapy at CloudSpeech actually look like?
Sessions are one-on-one, interactive, and structured—much like in-person therapy, but without travel time. Children participate from home using evidence-based digital tools, visual supports, and guided practice. Teletherapy works especially well for older children who need focused feedback, repetition, and motor learning to improve speech clarity. Parents are welcome to observe or participate as needed, but sessions are designed to build independence and confidence.
